Work + Fashion + Cheesecake + My Sexy Byatches

Work

For those who know Pogi, he is:

a. not built for physical labour (translation: lazy kient),
b. is not used to waking up prior to 11am, especially on weekdays (translation: Yogi bear), and
c. takes forever to get ready hence always late (translation: minty).

And Pogi + Job is a combination that goes against all science and logic. Who would have thought that
I, the definition of laziness (who strives to find a new level of laziness every day), has settled into a real job?

Bit unbelievable isn't it?

But it's a reality. One that I still cannot believe, one that family and friends cannot believe.

I have however
adapted to working, before it took me 1hr and 15 mins to get ready: 10 min shower, 15 min nap, 5 mins face stuffs, 5 mins choosing what to wear, 1 min putting it on, 5 mins deciding whether it suits, 1 min taking it off, 5 mins choosing what else to wear, 1 min putting new outfit on, 2 mins preparing and drinking a glass of milk, 1 min brushing my teeth, 5 mins packing my gear and the rest for my hair (usually around 20 mins).

Now I can get ready in 45mins! Superb!!

Work today was a byatch. The last 3 days were busy, I actually felt like a grown up. I didn't even have time to take a nap at my desk or surf the net. How cruel.

Today alone, I had 3 meetings this morning, three! Is Pogi really that in demand? d|0_o|b

But it all worked out good, peeps at work gave me props for my hard work.

Cheesecake

This cheesecake deserves a mention, especially with it's own part in this blog post.

I love you Johana for making this cake.

This folks, is a homemade Mars Bar cheesecake that work colleague Johana made for the office (really for me - cos she knows I have a sweet tooth). She also mentioned her hubby is eating healthy and abstains from sweets. Poor him, he doesn't know what he's missing out on. But advantage Pogi! More cake for me!! :)

Delicious, no?

I had a cakegasm when I saw it. 0_O Then another when I took my first bite.

My Sexy Byatches

Quick shout out to my sexy hunnies Maria (on the left) and Lucia (on the right). This was taken in Parramatta after Karla's b'day dinner. Don't we look hawt? OK maybe not me but the girls!!

Maria I've known since 2nd year Uni, and she is an absolute gem, a beautiful girl and an amazing friend, I have so much in common with you, you are my adopted sister (big sister - hehehe).

Lucia I met through Maria and you too have a beautiful soul, so wise with your words and never afraid to speak your mind.

I'm wearing a Yogi mask because I blinked in the photo (sensitive eyes). ^_^

Notice how these girls are wearing heels? CHEATERS!! You'll never be as tall as me! Mwhahahahahha. *slap*

B'days + Clubbing + Bball

Yay for work on Fridays, because at my workplace it doesn't really mean much work. :)

Lunch time, work colleague Flavio was raving about this tightass lunchies place near work at a place called Station Hotel. $8 steaks! I had the sir loin with black pepper sauce and chips. Very yummy. Not bad for $8 but the catch is that they charge you like $3.50 for a drink, my small glass of lemonade was overpriced but no biggie.

Had one more hour in my lunch period so we spent the remainder of it fragging (geek speak for killing) eachother in Unreal Tournament 2k3. I won ofcourse because of my awesome hand coordination. I love hearing Richard, another work colleague, cursing and slamming on his keyboard and mouse when I kill him. XD

Now Friday was when, as a family, we celebrated my sister's birthday, her's is actually on the 23rd (Michael Jordan's Bball jersey number, also LeBron's). I met them at my mom's Singapore Airlines office and then proceeded to go home, to change, then drive back out to eat at Sydney Madang's restaurant for a late dinner.

It's a Korean BBQ place. Other than it being a 40 degree day (celcius, slight exaggeration), and barbequeing, the entire dinner was great, I had my usual pork belly strips and pork meat, then tried their eel, I can't eat it. Everytime I think of eel, I think of the uglee, gross looking ones from the Little Mermaid.

Knowing that Eric's b'day is also on tonite at Verandah bar, I bid my family fare well and proceeded to meet Bao, fattyboomstick, at Verandah.

I changed into this for Friday nite:

Disclaimer: ignore my Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles quilt, it's my childhood memories and Ninjas are kewl, therefore Ninja Turtles are ze best!

Top: white Dickies singlet from USA, white Puritan singlet from the Philippines, white Ralph Lauren Polo from USA,

Bottoms: black CK denims from Sydney, can't see it in the photo but under the jeans is a sky blue Samuel and Kevin belt from Singapore.

Shoes: And for my shoes, I chose my white canvas Umbro pair from Singapore. Later that night, I spilt some melted cheese on it. :/

Regulars: wooden feather token necklace with replaced leather necklace, silver necklace with tv show Charmed token, TAG watch and gold ring.

Saturday was another maniac crazie day, I drove to Centennial Park for Maria's (work colleague) b'day. She's Indonesian and she prepared a helluva lot of Indo food that I had no idea about. Now I'm not much of a chilli fan, so I needed help on identifying which dishes served were chilli/spicy or not. I'm a wuss. I still found their non-spicy food spicy. :/

I hope she likes the silver JAG earrings I got for her. Actually, I know she will like em. :)

Now taking from Seinfeld in the chocolate babka episode, at any "adult" social situation held at a meeting place, one should bring a food or drink item. How awesome to learn from Seinfeld. Don't hate! I learn a lot from Seinfeld, like Jujyfruits, Junior mints, etc.

I ended up bringing a passionfruit cheesecake from the Cheesecake shop. One of my classic favourite cheesecakes. Perfect combo of sweetness and cheeseness.

Later that night I failed to make it to Gibb's set at the Art House, due to a nap turning into a 12 hr sleep. :/ But from what I hear, he had a great set, props to Gibson. Now whether to go to Lupe Fiasco's this Tuesday? hhmmmmmz. Pretty cheap for $40-50 bux though.

Titan's this Sunday whooped some Filo ass once again! Titans toppled Fil-In with a 58-50 win, considering we started 8 points down because we were late. >_< And finally, part of my Sunday unwind, the newspaper! My favourite is to read the comics. Comics are for adults too!

Here's a good Garfield one. Enjoy!

From a convo with Bao tonite:

Bao: man i cant believe i hadnt seen u in so long
Bao: forgot how tall u was
Pogi: i forgot how fat you were.

Asia + B'days + I.T. + GPS + bad haircut = Zombie Pogi

I miss Australia already, as I type away on a lonely desk at our Singapore office. I'm here alone, besides my work colleagues, for 3 days on business. How boring. There is absolutely no tourism spots that interest me (Merlion's and that island here is weird), but luckily there is shopping.

I'm staying at the Conrad but working across the road at Suntec tower 2. Our office here rox! It is in the same building as the shopping!! How kewl is that?

After I finish what I do here, I'm off for a short holiday in the Philippines. I'll be spending Xmas with family friends there (rich byatches!) and then NYE on a plane home. :/ I don't get back to Sydney till early morning on New Years day. Oh woe is me. >_<
Birthdays.

I love it whenever it is NOT my b'day. Why? I don't know. I just prefer celebrating someone else's other than my own. Extrovert? BS! XD

Anyways, concerning last weekend. Whoa! Like, sooooo many people had their b'day's on Saturday. I was able to make it to 3 of them though, so alls not lost.

A big happy bertday (<- my name! well sorta, bert!) to my buddies
Neil/Hect0r, Anna and Louisa. Sorry I couldn't stay longer but I was flying out the next day. I'll make sure to get wasted with you when I get back. ;)

And to the others, sorry for missing out but I'll make it to yours next time, Happy B'day neways!

My
cake gift to you:

Ube cake with macapuno!!!!

I work in I.T., it, like other industries is stressful, but it all comes in short bursts. Since I work for an American company, we work in the form of "quarters", so every quarter-end the office vibe is "
everyone is on edge-hectic-let's get sales-no sleeping".

At the
ITSMF (I.T. service management forum) convention last August, we were treated to lunches, dinners, free gear and free booze. Now that night I took advantage of the fun casino night and free bar tab. I wasn't quite like this poor dude but he pretty much sums up the I.T. crash back in the 90s or how frustrating I.T. can be:

Wasted!!! HAr har har

GPS (Global Positioning System) is a neat toy, and when combined with software, you get, wham bam! car navigation!

Now I've been using
Destinator for about 3-4 years. It's fine, but it has its pros and cons. I've moved on to Tomtom. And golly it is the most sexiest car nav software to date! I currently have James Bond as my voice directions, Yoda was just too odd.

Everyone get a Tomtom! Destinator is poo. It is a breeze to setup and to use, total price would be maybe $500 for hardware costs (PocketPC PDA and Bluetooth GPS receiver). I was excited, like a small child with ice cream, that I drove around for an hr to
test it. XD I was so happy!

Below is a pic of chocolate ice cream, Mars bar cheesecake (<- sexay) and ricotta cheesecake I had with Bern a short while back. Wasn't it tasty? ^_* We gotta eat more cheesecake girl, once I quit being a grown up. HAr har har.

Yummers!

I had a hair cut as well on Saturday morning. I hate my stylist. She can now die. She butchered me, and now I look like everyone else out there with this hair cut. >_<
